Biography

Otto Heinrich von Schwan was born about 1667 in Landesbergen on the Weser, the von Helversen/von Schwan estate, one of the 15 children of Christian von Schwan and Anna von Schwan. He was not named by Elzow as alive in 1683, but he was named by Lindner as living about 1700. He was also named by Gauhe, Zedler and Kneschke as one of the 6 sons of Christian Siegfried von Schwan who were alive in 1710, but he may be confused with his preceding born brother Johann Rudolph Heinrich who was named by Elzow and Lindner but not named by Gauhe, Zedler and Kneschke.
